The National Revenue Authority (NRA) has conducted exams for clearing and forwarding agents on Saturday 4th February at the West African Examinations Council (WAEC), Tower Hill.
According to Section 4 (d) of the Customs Brokers Regulation, 2015, the Commissioner-General will not grant a license to any clearing and forwarding agency if at least one certified customs broker is not employed by that agency. Please note that to be considered a qualified or certified Customs Clearing and Forwarding Agent/Broker, one must have gone through an examination set by the NRA.
Prior to the examination, the Authority has already held a two-day training workshop for successful applicants at the Theresa Sesay Hall, Kennedy Street from January 24th -25th.
The registration and licensing of customs clearing and forwarding agencies will commence from 1st to 28th February, 2017.
